My great uncle was a 1950's Matinee Idol who's lengthy career and prolific output meant that when he died in 1999 he left a lot behind that was worth preserving. His nephew, my Uncle Brock was left to manage his estate and to organise the innumerable wads of ephemera, rolls of ancient film and other lingering artefacts. An archive was created and has been steadily growing since.
He asked me in the autumn of 2014 to source a developer to help him revamp the website that had hosted this glut of content for some years. There were several sluggish months of furious data entry before the site finally took shape and all 3,000 images were launched publicly last month. I've included some of my favourites here but would strongly recommend visiting the site yourself.
